Content can be commented by external applications and a moderation console (ex-post) is available to filter abuse.

Content rating

Content can be rated for contest purposes or simply to enable customer's preference based sorting.

Custom thumbnail

Thumbnails can be manually set for each content. Video content supports exact frame extraction to create thumbnail.

HTML Document with inline editor

Create and edit documents with HTML formatting from available inline editor, integrated in content management console.

Content audit

Content audit trail: every action (access included) performed to content is stored in audit log, available to system administrators and content owners.

Users and groups

Different user types

Different user types are available to easily match daily scenarios. Guest users are read-only users usually assigned to external partners or customers that can access console but with very limited access. Application users are used by developers to perform automation and integration tasks. Business users are the regular platform users that can be assigned any access right, depending on configuration.

Groups support

Any user can be member of one or more groups. Groups can ease access control and content sharing by defining company teams as groups.

User deletion management (content ownership inheritance)

THRON users may own some content. When a user is removed by an administrator, his contents must be inherited by someone else in the organization to preserve company knowledge. User deletion has built-in management for such cases.

Join tags

Tags can be joined in order to simplify tag trees (e.g., by grouping tags together) or to train THRON’s semantic engine (e.g., by applying tags referring to the more appropriate concepts). Two steps are provided: the first one is named “combine”, it is reversible thanks to the "divide" functionality. Once the combination is stable, is possible to “merge” the previously combined tags; merge is not a reversible action.

3rd party tag identification

Integrators can add 3rd party identification (ExternalIDs) to tag definitions. This permits to sync THRON tags to 3rd party tags, avoiding the presence of a local DB that handles mapping.

User and group visibility limit

Users and groups can be configured to be allowed to interact with defined portions of the directory to enforce workflow processes and reduce collaborative noise.

Author & Owner management

Content owner always have full access to his contents. Author is a special metadata defining the "copyright" of content. This is mostly relevant for UGC projects, where owner is a platform user that can manage the content while the Author is the end-user producing the content.

Content access rights management

All content can be configured to allow users and groups to interact with limited access rights: read only, read and write, read and share, full control. Such access rights can be assigned on folder level and will affect all content therein published.

Folder access rights management

User can access folders or subfolders according to the access rights they have been granted. Available access rights are: (i) “folder management” to edit the folder and create subfolders; (ii) “users management” to share the folder to other users and groups. This feature allows for easy workflow definition and quick sharing of content between teams or users.

Application ownership

Application ownership is managed to allow for single application administration control.

Private folder

All your available content (created by you and shared to you) is available in your personal folder.

Content trashcan feature

Content can be removed by mistake from any user having access rights to do so. THRON allows content owner to recover from such deletion thanks to an embedded content trashcan support. System administrators can access to a system-wide trashcan to recover content whose author has been removed or disabled. Trashcan has an automatic purge feature that can be configured.

Quick content actions

Content editing and content tagging are directly accessible from the content list with just a single click. A selected set of content can also be tagged at the same time by exploiting the “manage tags” button in the SmartBar.

Dynamic taxonomy

Topic and Target tag structure is dynamic and can be updated over time. Structure change is instantly applied to intelligence data allowing re-analysis of historical data with newly defined taxonomy.

Simple and advanced search

Content search can be performed by text, metadata value, tag and filtered by content type, folder placement and combinations of aforementioned parameters.

Search auto completion

Search tokens are automatically suggested based on content taxonomies to improve search text definition and search performance.

Big directory support and search

User directory supports biggest worldwide organizations and ease user browsing by providing instant search function on directories.

Smart download

Download different versions of the file directly from THRON Dashboard; depending on the access rights, the user might have different available version of the file (e.g., the original file).

Multiple download

Select multiple content and download a zip archive with the relative source files. If source file can not be downloaded due to access rights restrictions, the transcoded version of the content at the highest available quality will be included in the archive.

Access right management

Each user and group can be assigned one or more permission to access a function. Administrative access rights cannot be inherited by groups and must be assigned to single user to improve security management and provide an easy view of user-to-access right map.

Content tag and metadata access control

Audit trail

Types of recommendation

THRON’s recommendation defines the customisation by exploiting the user’s omnichannel experience (corporate website, microsites, internal portals, extranets, portals, e-commerce, social, mobile apps, etc...) rather than the data of a single channel. In addition, it can make recommendations to other brand channels, combining and connecting the omnichannel experience of the end user in real-time.

Customizable recommendation

The algorithm used by each recommendation to suggest content can be enhanced thanks to specific rules which can be entirely configured by the user. Available rules are: (i) tag boost: is possible to define a set of tags in presence of which the content will be suggested in the top positions (ii) domains: is possible to limit the view count to specific domains (iii) recently viewed: the recommendation works only with content not viewed by the specific contact (iv) content without visits: recommendation can exclude content without visits.
